Pipaya, an M&A accounting firm had a strong reputation with referral partners in the aerospace, government, and defense industry. But there were still ebbs and flows in the business development cycle. As the company grew, they wanted to communicate consistently with referral partners and prospects about the value they bring to complex M&A transactions and what differentiates them from “Big Four” accounting houses.

I led their team through my 4-stage process to clarify their core messages and move them toward their goal.
We stripped their communications down to the studs and uncovered that Pipaya’s core message was generic and centered on being the low-cost option. We repositioned them and identified the anchor service that was most in-demand to build their reputation around.
We then developed and documented clear messaging that highlights Pipaya’s distinct approach and value, and started testing the waters with refreshed marketing pieces. We focused first on their highest leverage point: equipping referral partners with tools to help them “sell” Pipaya’s expertise.
With sound strategy and messaging in place, I equipped Pipaya’s team with a refreshed visual brand identity that balances their expert status with their relationship-centered approach.
Through weekly business development and marketing check ins, the team and I generate fresh content ideas, review new creative, dig into lead generation strategy and prioritize projects against their revenue and growth goals.
